    1. The choices we make now

Our choices that we make now are going to effect our future generations regardless. If we are unable to re-align these 2 paths, there will be repercussions in the future. Literature and history show us that. for every extreme, the next generation or two counteract with the other. We might as well save their time and work together to unify these two groups and set our future generations for more success than us.

    2. A common language needs to be developed and, more importantly, a recognition from both groups of the mutual advantages of sharing their knowledge.

I recently read an article, and for the life of me, I cannot find it. I will post it when I do. In the article it discussed the importance of being open minded while having a conversation. In order to communicate, one must be willing to challenge their beliefs and potentially change how they think and see the world. It also states how difficult and uncomfortable this task is for people, This statement regarding that both groups needs to recognize the other's strengths reminds me of the article. Both groups are so set it their ways, but they truly do need to overcome their discomfort for the greater good.

I don't think anything can be answered from examining only one perspective. That is very narrow thinking and rarely results if ever in an accurate answer. The fact that people thought they could separately assess the world from one viewpoint is shocking.
