I knew of implicit bias before reading this article but was surprised how important it is for many people. Enough that I California has even introduced legislation for it and some companies train on it. It does seem like a big issue, and although I am surprised, I support the introduction into training more about it.
You probably have the impression that line B is longer than line A, but in reality, both lines are equally long. What happens is that you are influenced by the arrows at the end of the lines even though you do not pay attention to the arrows or might even have the conscious goal not to be influenced by the arrows.
