People feel the need to be validated for the various things they do in everyday life. This is a common trend that seems to be endorsed in modern day society.

Throughout the day, I’d cough up an insight or an argument or a joke about what had just occurred or what was happening right now. And at times, as events took over, I’d spend weeks manically grabbing every tiny scrap of a developing story in order to fuse them into a narrative in real time.
I've caught myself doing this before and it is frustrating. You try to stay updated on the most current events, but it is impossible since new stories are always being written.

I find this to be a good point being made, however you are also dealing with confirmation bias. With that, will people really respect and side with a neutral perspective on the topics?
