    1. We also wondered whether we could motivate students to read through the use of text sets.

I think the biggest thing to make students want to read a complicated text, is find some common interests. For me, if I'm not interested or have connections, I don't want to read it!

I think that modeling in this way will support your students in the best way possible. By watching them play in a game and seeing their skills develop its going to be good for both me and the students to understand where they are skill wise.

    3. How are the literacy practices students used similar and/or different from those students use in your discipline?

When you look at disciplinary literacy, you think of different texts used in the classroom to better your understanding. In physical education that isn't always the best way of gaining knowledge. PE is a lot of visual and understanding from there.

    4. What skills and strategies (literacy practices) do you expect your students to know and be able to use before they begin your course?

I would like to teach high school, so coming in to high school I would expect students to have basic movements down to be able to use for game. They don't have to be overly developed skills, but just enough where they understand what to do
