    1. galumphing back

To me this feels like a good place for the poem to end. It's right on a dramatic ending and it closes the story. This is also where I realized in the Alice in Wonderland movie the mad hatter was saying this poem as he walked with Alice.

    2. Jubjub bird, and shun       The frumious Bandersnatch

these are both creatures from the Alice and Wonderland movie. They both work for the Queen, until Alice steels the Bandersnatch and they become friends.

    3. Beware the Jabberwock,

This sounds like a mother telling her son to be careful while he is out playing because the Jabberwock might get you. Almost like a joke.

    4. In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

"In roaring he shall rise" in my mind the is saying that when he finally comes to the surface, he will be blood thirsty and trying to kill and destroy everything. then it goes on to say" and on the surface die." now this statement seem more like a prophecy. it is predicting that one day the Kraken will rise and bring with it destruction, but in its thirst for death it will be killed.

    5. lain for ages

I wonder just how long "ages" is. with all the stories about the Kraken being around, it would be cool to know just how long ago the Kraken was made.

    6. ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep

There are many stories of people fighting with a Kraken. Purseus, son of Zeus, fought and killed the Kraken. Then again in Pirates of the Caribbean, there is another Kraken that is killed. What I mean is I believe the Kraken is an ancient creature, and it was made by powers no one can understand, so it may be dreamless. However, it is not uninvaded sleep because it is awake and killing so often.

    7. Lotus-

This reminds me of the Lotus flower in Percy Jackson. in that movie the Lotus flower was used to incapacitate people for a long period of time. So i predict something troubling will happen next.

    1. “Dearest father, your promise must be kept. I will go there and appease the lion, so that I can return safely to you.”

His daughter is more worried about keeping her father honest then the father is.

    2. Go, fetch me a sample of that precious wool gathered from every one of their fleeces.”

The directions for this task seem a little vague. She is told that in this grove there are sheep, she doesn't say how many there are or where they might be.

    3. by separating and sorting everything to its proper place and kind

I like how she sees the mess from harvest and the first thing she thinks to do is organize it all.
