Do cognitive psychologists study dead brains? What information can you even get from a dead brain?

Sometimes we don't even realize the amount of reading we do per day because it is such a normal thing in our everyday lives. I love how this reading dives deeper and questions "How does your brain process the marks your eyes see?" I am genuinely curious myself about how our brain constructs meaning from marks that we see.

Why are students taught to use this five-paragraph essay format when it only benefits the teacher as it is easy to grade?

That makes a good point. All throughout high school, we were taught the standardized form of an essay because it was the "correct way." Now I realize that of the influential writings to me, they never followed the high school format for essays.

Therefore, this class is all about you
I find this so unique compared to the classes I have taken in high school. It was always that the student had to orient themselves to the class. It's exciting that the class is revolved around the students.
