    1. workers in the coal and oil industries aren't left to pay the price.

      people in these industries do not have the skills or knowledge to switch into renewable energy without getting another degree.

    2. requires actions from our leaders that we must demand.

      most of our leaders are too old to change their views, action wont happen until a new generation takes power.

    3. The tools we use to combat climate change are the same tools we can use to change the game for low-income Americans and people of color.

      so if we tackle the climate change issue we could be also solving the racism issue.

      I feel like if we could fix the gap between the social classes we could help reduce the threat of climate change.

      Was some of that relief self funded by communities? If the wealthy fixed their own places without assistance from the government that might skew the data to show that there is more funding for wealthier neighborhoods.

      while I agree that racism is a horrible thing that affects today's society, I still struggle to see the connection between it and climate changes. I would like to see more statistical date on more black communities that are burdened with poor air quality. The author stated a statistic but with only one source and one researchers work.

      I can see how this could be environmental however I still strongly disagree that the two topics are related and they both have very different ways of being solved.

      I do not think its an add-on I think its a whole different topic

      While I agree that these are good ideas, I feel like some environmentalist go way out of their way to make everyone aware that they are eco friendly and shame others for buying things such as clothing from china without knowing the financial situation of the person.
