    1. But we certainly can leave it a little bit better.

I find this interesting and true. While everyone would love a world that is full of happiness and love, we must realize that reality will never be that. People will grow up differently and have different beliefs, but as individuals we must realize how much we can do and what we can't do. The things we can improve or change for the better must be our focus while things out of our control we must start to accept.

    2. I want power now. I want pleasure now. I want property now. Your property. Give it to me.

I find this to be very true in society today. Many of us are moving from one place to another constantly and have little to no time to take a step back and relax. Our brains need the constant stipulation of us doing or seeing something and this has been a trend for a while.

    3. necessary for a democracy to function is based on a sense of the public—a sense of what it is to be a citizen among citizens.

I think many people overlook what it is to be a citizen among citizens. Of course, this has a different meaning to everyone, but we all share some sort of common ground but focus too much on differences to see what we have in common.

    1. That is, laziness or inertia can be more powerful than bias

This is important to consider as well. Much of what goes into making a decision is a mental game. Having a certain attitude towards something will create different responses to that decision. This is another rabbit hole that can either help or hinder your progress throughout life.

    2. The question that is most often asked about cognitive illusions is whether they can be overcome. The message … is not encouraging.”

Asking yourself this question will help you understand how you view the world around you. This question will discourage many people as they feel they will not be able to change their current circumstances, but those who are willing to seek validation for change will succeed and overcome their obstacles.

    3. We would all like to have a warning bell that rings loudly whenever we are about to make a serious error,” Kahneman writes, “but no such bell is available.”

I find this interesting because some people do not think through their plans fully and can miss something that will become a detriment later in life. Since we do not have the "warning bell" we must begin to actively be our own warning and play both sides to our ideas.

    1. French doctor Didier Raoult provoked a global controversy by proposing that the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine could effectively treat coronavirus — a hypothesis that became a political belief for some.

While this was only a hypothesis, many chose to believe it without any evidence. Evidence is important in the scientific world and very important for the time we are in. I believe the panic of uncertainty drove many people to look for any answer they could and run with it. This could have caused other problems worldwide if it wasn't proven to not work and taken as the sole answer to the pandemic.
