      I like this idea of negotiated - one does not have to completely appose or disapprove of the ideas but may have a mixed interpretation

      I think this is especially interesting given his upbringing in Jamaica. Specifically, an upbringing in a place whose culture was established than transformed by white colonialism - with this, I feel this would be an interesting outlook to question colonialism as a whole

      many types of hegemony to look at - While I assume he'll be looking at white hegemony, it would be interesting to view patriarchal hegemony and its effect on his work
