    1. The school continually needs more tools, appropriate architectures, and wider spaces; it cannot risk falling behind

I have been reflecting a lot on the use of technology with children 0-3 years of age. I feel that it's almost frowned upon in the state that I work in especially the use of digital technology. I question why is it so taboo for children 0-3 years of age to experience digital technology? They are growing up in a time where digital technology is all around us and used for almost everything. Shouldn't we as educators be providing them a space that will allow infants and toddlers to investigate these tools?

    2. The continuity of education for young children from 3 months to 6 years

As an educator who practices continuity in education and care from birth to 3 years of age I completely agree with this practice. This has allowed for much stronger trusting relationships to develop between the myself, students, and families. I noticed that the families feel more connected and apart of the classroom community each year we're together.

    1. In fact, it abounds in young children, who are the greatest listeners to the world that surrounds them.

Children see things that us adults do not and that's why as an educator we need to be aware of lenses. If we try to see the world through the eyes of the child it will help us to understand the child.

    2. Listening should be sensitive to the patternsthat conne t us to others.

We should also stay open to processing all of the possibilities of various information, stimuli, and communication we may encounter. The word connect is a word that resonates with me. As humans we are always seeking connection. Connections between people, things, other living beings, and experiences. Listening allows us to build connections with others.

    1. children say (verbally or nonverbally

As educators we need to be aware of the many ways our children communicate. To help the children be able to share information with each other.

    2. connected to adults and other children

The word connected really resonated with me in this quote. It reminded me of pedagogy of listening. That listening and learning occurs through relationships that we have in our environment.

    1. The literal meaning of "infant" is unable to speak, but children's "voices" can be heard from birth, provided adults take the time and effort to listen (Pugh & Selleck, 1996, p. 123).

Currently as an infant educator this resonates with me so much. That infants have so many ways of communicating with us it just takes us from removing our adult expectations of what communication looks like to see.

    2. "listening not just with our ears but with all our senses

In order to gain some insight on a child's process we have to take off our adult lenses and try to view the world and experiences through the eyes of a child.

    1. The environment you construct around you and thechildren also reflects this image you have about thechild.

This sentence really resonates with me. I think about the classroom environment and how it's set up. If we view the child as independent thinkers and in control of their learning the space should be set up to reflect that. Such as; are children able to freely move around to make independent choices on what they're investigating? Are all materials easily accessible for the children? Is their learning displayed in the classroom so that they may reflect on their previous experiences?

    1. The image of the child. All children have preparedness, potential, curiosity; theyhave interest in relationship, in constructing their own learning, and in negotiatingwith everything the environment brings to them.

All children are capable and have the potential to lead their own learning.

    2. continue to formulate new interpretations and newhypotheses and ideas about learning and teaching through their daily observationsand practice of learning along with the children

Teaching is definitely an on going process that is ever changing. That as teachers we are constantly changing our approaches and theories through out our careers.
