yess!! It is a constant battle trying to prove that you deserve to be where you are, and leaving no room for error especially when it comes to academics!
They attend private schools and summer camps, take music lessons, get extensive SAT tutoring, land prestigious internships, take trips overseas and generally do what the less affluent cannot afford to do.
It is crazy to think about how many resources the financially stable have when it comes to education, but it is so hard for low incomed individuals to get to that point. As a low income individual, I had to work a lot harder than my peers to get the scholarships I got to attend school!
