but this does not mean avoiding teaching digital literacy. It means discussing with them why they would post a real photo of themselves as avatars versus something more abstract.
Not sure if Maha intended to associate real-photo vs abstract-avatar with high-risk situations, but this is one position I found a bit exposing as part of being a digital scholar in the OERu journey. I think it is the inevitable other side of the coin; is to put yourself out there.
