this poem reminds me of this thing i saw about how people have been leaving traces of themselves for all of time. i.e. cave art, hand prints, writing in concrete, leaving your name on a wall, grafiti, art, literature, graves.

shes beautiful because of the kindness and simplicity of the statement

sometimes sharing an experience is more rewarding than doing it alone

sometimes people leave their marks and opinions as proof they were there i.e. the universal 'winnie was here' graffitied and written on walls and books and other things

this stanza is about emphasis and agreement. sometimes u dont need to do anything but underline because the author has already said it all

this one is about how students often only annotate parts of speech and less the real meaning

this stanza is like the first but more playful and joking than a difference of opinions

while egg salad is gross the ending of this is really sweet and says a lot about human connection w the world and wanting to leave your thoughts as tangible ideas

shows that annotation means really thinking and feeling and absorbing a piece of work

the words disagree with the reader/author but they are trying to make the person understand and agree
