The repetition of the experiences people share together reminded me of our version of their way of thinking, a.k.a. "shared trauma". Most of the time, with nation-wide known events or with large natural disasters, many of the people who went through the same event seek each other out as their experience is something they'd only understand, sometimes even in places of therapeutic sessions.
