      this is a facade created by companies to keep viewers engaged. we believe we have the freedom to speak but in reality if one comments or not they are playing into the game of letting what we see on our devices influence our thoughts. Even if one just creates an opinion and does not share, the post does its planned job of making the consumer think.

      this persists today, depending on which news channel one may view. Some may lean towards a far more liberal or a far more conservative side. Media influencing began long before media became electronic.
