Cultivation is the process of trying to acquire or develop a quality or skill.

I think this means that someone is in a bad space and time in life and is asking for the strength to get through it.

This shows how the speaker doesn't mind being in a short-term relationship with the person they are talking to.

This phrase is repetitive all throughout the poem which could imply how important it is.

The speaker enjoys the intensity of emotions that jealousy promotes.

This tells us that the speaker definitely isn't taking the soon-to-be relationship seriously and obviously doesn't plan on it lasting a very long time.

I think the author used this line as a sort of metaphor to show how it's all up to the other person and how they are in control/ in charge because the King is normally the ruler of all and the Queen is always by his side kind of taking his orders.
