This point is rather interesting but does make sense as I believe that there are not definite correct answers to any given problem. there is some sort of create and theory behind these ideas that says they are true but humans will never know if even these concepts are true in and of themselves.

    2. In the name of ecology, we must scrutinize Nature with all the suspicion a modern person can muster. Let the buyer beware. Nature has turned out to be a plastic knockoff of the real thing.

Once again it seems unfair to say something like this as is does not take into account the beauty of nature and is excellence. Yes, some areas have been greatly diminished and this quote may pertain to those areas, but that does not mean that all nature is a plastic knockoff of the real thing. there are still places that have not been tainted by humanity and I believe that if we want to preserve what is left, speaking so lowly of nature is going to exacerbate the issue.

    3. Nature was an ideal image, a selfcontained form suspended afar, shimmering and naked behind glass like an expensive painting. In the idea of pristine wilderness, we can make out the mirror image of private property: Keep off the Grass, Do Not Touch, Not for Sale. Nature was a special kind of private property,

This idea does seem to hold rather true and it is without a doubt that the human race has greatly alter the natural environment. Despite this I still personally believe that there are places on earth that have been untouched by humanity and it seems a little bit unfair to say that these types of images and environment no longer exist due to the destructiveness of humanity.

    4. Exorcise is good for you, and human beings are past the point at which Nature is a help. Our continued survival, and therefore the survival of the planet we're now dominating beyond all doubt, depends on our thinking past Nature.

This quote seems to hold a lot of weight to it and by saying that we can basically put nature aside is a rather bold statement. I believe that nature is part of the equation and although we may need to think outside of the box, i do not think it has to be in such a drastic manner. The fact that nature is a "ghost" seems a little ambiguous as well. In my opinion nature is not a ghost but most definitely a material concept.

what one may think is fair and justified does not mean that their idea will be fair for the majority of people in society as there are external costs which are not taken into account.

This idea could pose threats to much more than the US in the near future; if other companies decide to raises prices to boast profits, many could lose their ability to feed themselves.

    3. st markets implies that capitalism has its own inner logic. Inother words, it has a life of its own that is not concerned withhuman flourishing,

this subconscious that apparently is tagging along with capitalist theory seems to be one of the main causes between disparity in the US.

This is interesting as it shows the increase of human greed; as time when on, the food industry became more unfair with their prices and availability.

    5. f capitalism to maximize profits.

unfortunately this idea has leaked into the food industry making most produce and nutritional meals far too expensive for many to buy.

This was rather eye opening. It is scary to think that class disparity and wage gaps paired with a continually growing population are leading to the loss of life rather than the bettering of society.

This idea is poisoning the image of what policy makers say they are doing in relation to what is actually happening in the US.

This concept of a balanced market in accordance to income levels seems to propose a reasonable solution for equality among the masses. This approach emphasizes the idea that the disparity among social and economic classes can still be lessened.

I thought this was interesting as it shows how the experiences of others can still influence individuals to make a change in society. Also, the author is able to influence the rest of the article with the use of personal experiences.
