    1. BYE-BYE.

The big idea here is that we need to reconfigure our society to better our health. The different classes and statuses in our society determine our health, which leads to inequality. The point here is that as social stressors continue, cortisol does not go away, causing unhealthy consequences to the brain. This lowers the health of those who are more likely to be in stressful situations. What the author is trying to say here is that race can cause someone to be always stressed. If others view you negatively because of your race, you must always be vigilant of racial discrimination, creating stress that does not go away easily. This reminds me of how we learned that there are many social determinants of health that all can affect each other. When they mentioned that the factors that make up social class are intertwined, it seemed very similar to how all of the social determinants of health are connected. A question I have is how can one improve their control of destiny. Is there a way to improve their mental health and mindset that can give them a greater internal locus of control? If not, what other ways are there?
