It is interesting how much the wife wants to ensure his safety and that his pride and honor are intact when he returns home. It doesn't seem like she has much to gain from that other than knowing she is kind.

This part makes me think he is getting extremely desperate to find land. All of the birds he is sending out are returning without any sign of land. I am sure this is very scary and frustrating for him.
On the fifth day I laid out her exterior. It was a field in area, its walls were each 10 times 12 cubits in height, the sides of its top were of equal length, 10 times It cubits each. I laid out its (interior) structure and drew a picture of it (?).
This section of the story reminds me a lot of Noah's ark. I even looked up that story because I remembered the term cubits.
