      I personally am not a huge fan of VoiceThread. The user interface is a bit confusing and the website itself could use a lot of improvement.

      This sounds like the online version of collecting all the work and randomly passing them back out with the added bonus that no one will be able to recognize handwriting.

      I have used this as a student and enjoyed how you can reply to different posts. As a teacher, the fact that you can change the length of the flipgrid video is helpful.

      I have seen this used in a 5th grade math classroom and the teacher really like how easy it was to gather and assess student work.

      Recommending books is something I remember doing when I was in grade school. Having an online platform where students can share their passions and interests in regard to reading is a fantastic idea.

      google forms are another way to check in with students since they are customizable and record each students response in an easy to read chart.

      with older students you can have the student speaking select the next person. limit the student's choices to people who have not shared until everyone has had a chance to speak.
