      This is a perfect example on why people doom scroll. People like escaping the reality of the state of the world we live in sometimes, and want to not think about it to keep their emotions stable.

      I myself have been guilty of doomscrolling before. It has led to me going away from my responsibilities and doom scroll because it’s comfortable.

      Morals cannot always be to do what makes people happy. That would mean you would have to change what’s right and wrong with every single person you meet. What happens when you’re with multiple people, and someone liked something when the other person doesn’t? This mindset is a fallacy, because what could be “correct” in someone’s eyes doesn’t mean it is the right thing to do.

      Programmers making online software without any consideration/guidelines of the wrong hands coming across their platform still inflicts a sense of responsibility. Their lack of empathy/ignorance of the whole situation is an example of weaponized incompetence. As creators of the platform, you have to know what can and will go wrong without correct safety measures. It’s not only crucial for building a network model, but basic planning in general.
