The man who knows himself weaker than another is more alone in the heart of a city than a man lost in the desert.
This doesn't seem true. I know I am weaker than Conner McGregor but I don't feel especially alone because of it. Maybe she means a specific other man? I still don't see how loneliness would be the result rather than just fear or shame.

To lose more than the slave does is impossible, for he loses his whole inner life.
Can't the slave still think her own thoughts, as traumatized and brutally oppressed as she may be?

When someone asked Agesilaus how far the bounds of Sparta extended, he responded showing his spear, "As far as this can reach."
This is why the US has an aircraft carrier off the coast of Iran.

Since you want others to be able to download and run your code without problems, you need to ensure repeatable builds. That’s what freezing is for. It outputs roughly the same set of dependencies with their sub-dependencies in a special format:
freeze makes the requirements.txt like a package.json.

Finally, note a relationship is defined, using ForeignKey. That tells Django each Choice is related to a single Question. Django supports all the common database relationships: many-to-one, many-to-many, and one-to-one.

But later, when he asks me to go back to his place, this nice guy, this good friend who is not an asshole, who cares about me, and I say I’m sorry, I just don’t see you that way—then I think maybe he understands Venn diagrams fine.

The impulse to list is allied with collection, a desire to record, to archive, to remember, to preserve experience and the aesthetic feeling of films one might not otherwise recall.
Funny—this is sort of what I'm doing by making these highlights and annotations.

very list is by necessity impossible, and must remain unwritten, a private reckoning.
Why impossible?

Not pain, exactly. Recognition; awakening, even. There were places in me no one had touched.
This rides the line between beauty and suffering, combining medical vivisection with spiritual discovery. Love this so much. There's an eerie intimacy to procedures like this.

George Washington, Walt Whitman, Frederick the Great, Eugène Delacroix, Adam Smith, Immanuel Kant, Thomas Jefferson, Matthew Arnold, Ambrose Bierce, Theodore Roosevelt, William Alexander Percy, Ralph Waldo Emerson.
I'm glad to see my main man Emerson gets a mention, though I'm surprised this list is missing Montaigne. There are also several more modern US military men who drew valuable knowledge from the stoics. Mattis, I believe, is one of them.

For as science fiction writer William Gibsonacutely observes, the future does not arrive all at onceeverywhere
He also added that the future is already here, but only for a small number of us.
