    1. Critical Pedagogy is an approach to teaching and learning predicated on fostering agency and empowering learners (implicitly and explicitly critiquing oppressive power structures).

      This seems narrow to me: teaching contributes to agency and learning in many ways beyond critiquing power structures, .e.g by enhancing attention, calling into question implicit cognitive biases, equipping students with habits and tools that allow them to extract greater meaning or probe hidden assumptions from all kinds of texts. In my view, it would be a consequential reduction to understand all of this only in terms of critiquing oppressive power structures.
