“ most pragmatic projects just wish to undertake their encoding as efficiently as possible. In my experience, any inherent limitations, some of which are discussed later, are rarely prohibitive, and projects often prefer to accept the most straightforward solution”
This is a strong quote and the author did a good job in the analysis of it.
-
Since there is no clear cut method to this process which is something that I found personally very difficult
I suggest talking in more detail about the collaboration you did with other classmates.
-
The songs that I have encoded
I suggest putting the names of the songs in quotation marks and capitalizing the start of each word.
-
In Flanders’s article
I would suggest using the Pierazzo article because there is a lot of interesting and helpful information that you can refer to.
-
coming to a general consensus with my peers on what category certain lyrics would be tagged as.
I agree that this is the most difficult part of encoding and also explained this in my reflection. Luckily, Symone and I both were able to talk with our fellow editors to come to a decision about words and phrases we were confused about in the text.

Hamilton Mixtape songs
I also talked about the Hamilton Mixtape and believe it would be helpful to the audience. Showing deleted songs to the audience would be unique from the original play and make it interesting.
-
the musical component of the digital editing
I suggest the writer takes a look at Ham4Ham Videos or some fan material about Hamilton. This could be helpful in creating a digital edition.
-
constructing a timeline
I think this is a great idea because a timeline is both unique and informative to the audience.
-
containing a biography element that consists of a brief summary of all main characters
I can make a connection with this idea because I also talked about including a summary and background information about the characters to ensure the audience has a good understanding.

between Alexander and Angelica
A connection I have to this Reflection is I also analyzed Alexander Hamilton and his relationship with another character throughout the play.
-
songs like “Stay alive” and “Take a break”.
It would help the writer's claim if she included a Voyant Tool. These songs would be good choices to put into Voyant and then further analyze.
-
By counting the number of songs that Angelica appears in and analyzing the lyrics it is to be assumed by the audience that she has feelings that go beyond those of a sister-in-law.
The writer does a good job finding evidence for the connection between Hamilton and Angelica. By counting the number of time Angelica appears does a great job helping her claim.
