this is very eye-opening. just because its a path for you does not mean that it is a path for all, resulting in an unfairness.

I think this is extremely important!! i think it's so important to evaluate how teachers interact with students of color and students of different economic status'. no teacher should treat someone better than another based off of skin color or wealth. That is not to say that it doesn't happen, which is why i think it is something to be evaluated.

I think technology should not be the basis of a strong education, technology is something that many classrooms, schools and countries may not be able to afford or have access too. I think it is important to have very effective ways of teaching that do not fully involve technology.

This is so important, and something we talk about often in class. Having tools that are fully inclusive for everyone is so important, it makes sites easier for people with disabilties, and also makes them feel more included if they are able to access it or if the material on the site relates to them.

"Turn it in" that we use on moodle is a good example of this. but it also marks things that are quoted with in the work as copies so sometimes the percentage of 'plagiarism' is incorrect which can be tricky.

I think people tend to learn sites and usage better when things are straight forward and given to you in an easy to understand way

I do this very often, learning comes easier to me when I relate it to experiences or previously learnt things. I think it is important when teaching young children especially to relate topics to things they already know about and are interested in so that it becomes easier for them to learn and remember.

This reminds me of a viral video that is going around right now. It's a college professor yelling at one of his students for not paying attention when she's actually hard o fhearing and delayed in the class because she has to wait for everything the professor is saying to be interpreted. It is actually really sad to watch, he shows no remorse for the student even after other students back them up. He goes on to say that they are not paying attention, when that is not the case at all. This just goes to show that although some sites and resources may seem accessible for all students, sometimes there are other factors you may not be considering.

This form of instruction seems like it would be extremely helpful for older teachers who struggle with technology more, but not only just them, everyone. Sometimes instructions on how to use things can be very lengthy and confusing. Having a visual explaining exactly how to use the tool would change that completely and make things a lot easier and quicker for many educators and students.
