    1. where racism is still one of the major unresolved social problems, books may be one of the few places where children who are socially isolated and insulated from the larger world may meet people unlike themselves.

      When children are bullied and feel like their presence is unwanted they often turn to isolation and want to try to escape from the world. And many fiction books allow them to do that, these books allow their imagination to become apart of the story, and make them feel comfortable and excited to continue reading something they love to read.

      i agree with this statement because children of all cultures should be excited to come to their class and feel comfortable learning about new cultures and learn new things about their own culture, without feeling devalued.

      Everyone should be able to learn, read, and write. And also be able to have access to books and new learning opportunities and education.

      I agree with this statement because sometimes a book can change your whole perspective on life, and open a new world, just like it says. You just have to find the right book, that suits your personality and interests.
