The blood diamond industry exploits human beings and many diamonds manufactured throughout countries actually come from illicit activity and the horrible treatment of the miners involved. Many people choose to ignore this and keep supporting the diamond industry, instead of searching for rings with diamonds that don't come from the corrupt industries.
