    1. It was too late. Outbreaks were already growing in over 30 cities across 26 countries, most seeded by travelers from Wuhan.

Can you imagine how one person eating a bat can cause the entire world to go into quarantine and cause a pandemic because I can't.

    2. About 85 percent of infected travelers went undetected, researchers believe. But they were still contagious.

Yes, there is something called an incubation period which is basically where you have the virus but it doesn't show any signs or symptoms because it's incubating so checking peoples temperatures doesn't always work.

    3. Two days later, the authorities locked down Wuhan, and many cities followed in the next few weeks. Travel across China nearly stopped.

They are very late to this protection.

    4. The timing of the outbreak could not have been worse. Hundreds of millions of people were about to travel back to their hometowns for the Lunar New Year.

Yes, this was one of the biggest reasons in my opinion that the virus had spread. There was a post about people who knew they had Corona traveling to different places like dude, quarantine yourself.I think the worse part is how they post about it on the internet which is how they got found.

    5. The true size of the outbreak was much larger even then — an invisible network of nearly 1,000 cases, or perhaps several times more.

I think China is holding back some information about COVID-19 honestly. I remember before it was a pandemic and from what was reported about 1,000 cases, my brother's friend who's in China was talking about how their were 100,000 cases which could be an exageration or I don't know. Something seems off though

    6. Four cases grew to dozens by the end of December.

I'm glad that I decided to get a mask because I was sick so I thought about getting a mask to prevent people and myself from getting sick. I never even thought about COVID-19 at the time, which I'm just glad I happen to get a mask before this pandemic.

    7. Many of the first known cases clustered around a seafood market in Wuhan, China, a city of 11 million and a transportation hub.

I mean it's not just Wuhan that's crowded but most of China, I think east side mostly or near the ocean. This is like the ideal conditions for plague inc because it allows for the virus or disease to spread quickly. This also reminds me of some of the prisons where it's cramped and people are getting sick in their which is why some people are free.

    8. It seems simple: Stop travel, stop the virus from spreading around the world.

It should be simple, by stopping travel to parts of the world then we can better prevent this pandemic from spreading far. I ebola is a good representation of the travel because considering the fact that it originated in Africa and it's 3rd world, not much people are gonna be traveling out which is it's not that bad as Corona.
