    1. we know the patterns so well that we frequently complete them in our minds, before the storytelling is complete.  We fill in the blanks.  

      This reminds me of the reminder in cognitive coaching to STOP guessing and filling in people's blanks if you want to be a better active listener. it's one of the hardest things to do I think! ANNNND please don't think I'm a lunatic, but it also for some reason reminds me of the hilarious scene in Men in Black where Will Smith explains why he shoots the little girl avatar in the training session lol

    2. follow a pattern

      We always talk about this w our students as they learn what PLOT is....a character, a problem, a resolution. I LOVE how the video puts YOU as the center of the plot in life:) it definitely requires a leap of faith to resolve those conflicts though!

    1. You will be challenged to seek-out and try different tools.  I will offer a storytelling-toolbox of options, make recommendations, and offer help as needed.

      I am the most excited about this part - I am a tech geek and love to try new tools, AND I also think it's so important to be intentional and purposeful when we utilize tech w students.
