A measurement of visual experience therefore could also include spatially resolved measurements such as those from a camera. Cameras, of course, also need to be characterised and calibrated, and importantly, the dynamic range of the visual environment needs to be included in considerations.
We also need to consider optical properties of lenses used in the camera.
We should point out that although UV and IR light sensing exist doing UV and IR measurements in addition to visible range would require multiple sensors because UV sensors and IR sensors would require specialized sensors since silicon light sensing are only sensitive to visible range and near-IR range up to 1,000 nm.
What is "MEDI"? Should the y-axis be Log Illuminance?
Exposure to the optical environment
The phenomenology of "exposure to the optical environment" goes beyond the visual experiment. I would be more specific: "Exposure of our eyes to the optical environment."
