    1. Luxury products “correspond to a dream” rather than to functionality,

      The author points out the claim that luxury items are not bought simply for being functional or useful to the owner but rather be for different purposes such as satisfying their dreams. For example, we see luxury clothing be much more expensive but ultimately have the same functionality of different brand clothing. It highlights the idea that luxury is subjective to the person's dreams rather than functionality.

    2. But why should we think these histories are in any normative or descriptive sense alike?

      This rhetorical question is a good response to the claims of Bloom's argument. The author suggest that even though a good may be historically relevant, it may not describe the worth of the good entirely. Instead, the author suggests more reasoning than simply history defining something as expensive.

    1. One man’s humour isn’t everyone’s,

      I agree that everyone has different views on what is funny or not funny. However, if it offends a group of people, I do not see how it could be seemed as funny to society.

      I feel as if triggered snowflake is not a right word to describe people who are offended by Chappelle's show. Today, people are becoming increasingly aware of how the words of other can affect other humans. Being more sensitive of this fact should not be classified as a triggered snowflake.

      This quote shows the rising support of the trans people and the LGTBQ community. It shows how society has progressed in terms of social justice.

      This shows that Dante James, the author of the passage, thinks that people are too sensitive nowadays. However, I think that people have grown to not tolerate offensive jokes and instead say something about it.

      I feel as if this joke disregards sexual assault and abuse of individuals. In fact, it seems like things like assault is deemed to be not important and should be ignored in society. This should not be condoned.

      Even though his wife is Asian, I feel he still did not have any right to mimic asians and stereotype them even in a joking way. It is similar to demoralizing someone but at the end of the comment adding "its just a joke". This should not be allowed.

      This shows the stereotypes present in society today and how it is shunned upon to do these actions as a male figures.
