    1. Sometimes we need to dive deep to reach the bottom and think slow to arrive at an insight.

"Sometimes we need to dive deep to reach the bottom and think slow to arrive at an insight". Gavin Haus Sep 21 2026 Module 1 I enjoy this sentence and image of a deep sea diver because it really helped me understand what what it takes to reach the bottom of an argument or issue. Like mentioned earlier, many people think too fast and come to conclusions and judgments quickly and based on emotion even for complex issues that may be better treated with logic, objective reasoning, and deep thinking. This image of a deep sea diver reminded me that to dive deep you have to first relax and let go of tension in your body. To me it's the same with thinking about a big issue, relax and let go of previous judgments or quick decisions/bias about the issue, slow down and process objectively to come to a conclusion.

"It is worth remembering that a frustrating path might be more fruitful than an easier AI-assisted path"

This quote stood out to me clearly because it is an issue that has been on my mind for a while. The issue of taking the easy what out is always something that humans have struggled with. Always looking for shortcuts and replacements. Whether it be to increase efficiency or take the weight of someone's shoulders, it is not necessarily a bad thing. However, with AI those shortcuts are becoming more accessible than ever it is also more important than ever to ask why are we doing this? What am I sacrificing by taking this shortcut?
