      There is irony in that both the Native story and Genesis both depict Humans as the specieis that will make mistakes or be a problem. While we have taken many steps forward, we certainly have become the problem in many ways that affect the planet, ourselves, and the animals that helped create this world in this story.

      I appreciate this creation story because it shows humans as the vulnerable species and the "dumb" ones. Attributing great intelligence to the animals and displaying how they really created humans puts our world as it is into perspective. Perhaps it is my lack of knowledge in creation stories but hearing this story was refreshing.

      Stories are beautifully balanced in that there is both liight and dark within them. They can be told in beautiful metaphoprical ways but also used for deceit. It alligns directly with the good in bad in Adam and Eve. In the Native story, there is good and bad throughout the process.
