    1. It means talking about audience

A major realization that needs to be faced by anyone who is entering the public domain is that their audience consists of everyone online! Their targeted audience may vary but that doesn't change the fact that you are placing yourself in front of everybody. That is why one must be conscious of what they post online, as they do not know who could be viewing it in the future.

    2. 21st-century learners.

21st-century learners are faced with an interesting scenario. They are the first generation to grow up completely engulfed in this digital age and have been accustomed to it for their whole lives. With millions of bits of information at the students finger tips 24/7, they are faced with the challenge of being efficient and distinguishing the good from the bad. This coincides with the digital knowledge they need to develop as they need to figure out how to tackle these challenges.

    3. Digital literacies are not solely about technical proficiency but about the issues, norms, and habits of mind surrounding technologies used for a particular purpose.

Digital literacy goes much deeper than simply being able to work a piece of technology. It is a culmination of ones thoughts and actions as they explore online mediums to achieve their objectives. Digital literacy is the belief that one is able to use this online information and communicate it to others, creating new information on the way.

    1. manage chaos and temptation.

College is an environment where everything can move seemingly quick around you, giving you a limited time to catch your bearings. If you manage to control this chaos you can find yourself thriving where others are failing. A reason many people fail with this is that they give into temptations that they otherwise wouldn't. They see life moving so quickly before there eyes that they make decisions that their old selves would deem irrational. Giving into these temptations could hurt your chances at future success in and out of college.

    2. For instance, the study found some evidence that divers were more likely to spend time working outside jobs during the school year, which hints at financial stress as a complicating circumstance in their lives.

Students success in college in correction with their previous financial status has always been something that has drawn my attention. Someone who is under the constant pressure of paying for their loans and working jobs to alleviate it would have a much different college experience than the normal student. All of this said, at the end of the day the students are required to take the same exams and be judged on the same guidelines. This common grading can show why students in financial stress struggle to stay on top of their grades. Another way of looking at it could be that these students could have a burning desire to get out of their situation and use academic success as a way to get out of it. At the end of the day you never know what your peers are going through and how much they have to deal with outside of their studies.

    3. divers were less likely to describe themselves as organized or detail-oriented,

As I continue to learn and develop as a college student I have been introduced to how much more effective one can be if they are properly organized. In college you are given a syllabus and are it is up to you to plan your time accordingly in order to get all of your assignments completed. Proper organization allows you to have a complete understanding of whats due and when. This understanding will allow you to effectively study and get all of your assignments done with a fair amount of time to review them.

    4. about 20 percent

High school GPA explains only 20% of the difference because in college there are numerous other things that factor into academic success other than intelligence. Now being intelligent never hurts, but success academically in college requires a culmination of many personal traits. It requires a work ethic, grit, discipline and many more. A student has to have the self drive to pre-form in college as nobody is there to tell you when to do homework or study. #digcizfa16 #fyschat

    5. a disillusioning one.

Disillusionment means: a feeling of disappointment resulting from the discovery that something is not as good as one believed it to be. I feel this definition very accurately describes some peoples first viewpoints on college. We enter college with pre conceived ideas on how it is and what all it entails, only to arrive and realize how much more there truly is. When you actually arrive in your dorm and are left all on your own, you then realize the gravity of your situation. There isn't anyone there to coddle you as your parents once did, and it is in the missing of home that many feel college isn't all that its hyped up to be. However, after spending time adjusting to the lifestyle, the transition can be made to enjoying yourself and growing as an individual. #fyschat #digcizfa16

    2. Data is the new oil. Beyond collecting information, it also means gathering power,”

In this generation data=power. With the amount of things put online everyones data is accessible and many groups are looking to use it for their advantage. These groups include the governmental use of data for national security and simply businesses to improve marketing. Billions go into the pursuit of this data, showing its value.

    3. everyone looks like a bad guy.

These weapons don't asses the situations they are in but rather they simply are used for action, regardless of who it is against.

    4. less political power

I believe this contributes to many different aspects of life for different cultural groups. Having less political power implies that the group will not be able to institute a change, even if they wanted too, which gives the government incentives to not take their well being into consideration as much as other more "powerful" groups.

    5. Electronic Benefit Transfer cards (EBT)

EBT is used in all states to issue food stamp benefits to recipients.

    1. In the outside world, all forms of intelligence whether of sound or sight, have been reduced to the form of varying currents in an electric circuit in order that they may be transmitted.

This coincides with the "Virtual Offices" that are being used in the field of law. People are pushing their business online rather than having a physical location.
