    1. . Dr This writes it down and Dr That attempts a sympathetic murmur. Watching me, judging me, smelling the crippling failure oozing from my skin, my desperation clawing and all-consuming panic drenching me as I gape in horror at the world and wonder why everyone is smiling and looking at me with secret knowled

He writes this in such a way that we understand it. Although, we may not be experiencing this personally, when he says "Dr. This" or "Dr. That" I feel that I can understand his pain and frustration because he is going through a pointless cycle of useless doctors who aren't giving him their all. And as people, we can all relate to the feeling of not being helped or priotitized

    2. My brother is dying, my lover is dying, I am killing them both

They are blaming themselves for what the people closest to them is experiencing. The character understands that their own personal problems do not only affect them but the people around then now too.

This really puts the idea that black people and minorities have always been set to a standard in how they are represented, into perspective. Representation holds much power in the world of media. Misrepresentation of black people along with other minorities can create preconceived ideas of them in the real world

    2. 'Yes. Isn't 'colorblind casting' a 'thing'?

This is interesting because over time and more recently I've seen plays and movies containing actors who are normally played by white people yet have casted black or colored people in it. For example, in the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast, there are many villagers who are played by black men and women despite people of color and white people not co-existing during that time.
