this is the most common way of learning that specific instruction is used to teach. the only thing is that it is usually not designed for each student

    1. Robust tools are compatible with all technologies. Robust tools can be accessed and used on any device and browser, new or old.

There have been so many times in which it only works for mac computers or a specific windows update and then I have to figure out another tool. so making sure a tool works the same on any pieces of technology. There are other times when I would have to try and figure it out on my own because the way you were able to do something on a windows is different than mac.

    2. This requires designing inclusive learning environments and evaluating the accessibility of digital tools and apps before using them in the classroom to ensure all learners have the same opportunities to access and engage with course content.

It's so important to make sure that the technology we are using are accessible. Often people think that just because we are using technology we don't need to think about if it will be helpful to many people.

    1. An important quality of innovative communities is the ability of members to give and receive criticism in productive ways. This capacity is due in large measure to organizational-level efforts to support exploration and allow for failure with recoverability, as long as quality reflection enables learning from the failure, thus making it actually “productive

This is an important quality to have, that I wish I could have. I think the fact that having that support in which it is okay to not be perfect and that you can still be productive. Having this at a young age can help stop perfectionism and allow people to accept criticism without taking it personally.

    1. As a result, teachers who choose a variety of assistive technologies for their classrooms may want to ensure that students and parents are fully aware of any privacy or security issues that could arise.

I think this is super important. Often when I was in class and my teachers would say to use a specific website that you had to sign up for and it couldn't be anything else, it felt like I had no choice but to follow along even if I did not know if it was actually safe. Also allowing parents to know will help with students who are younger and might not know that much about privacy.

    1. . TEAM GOALS As a group what do you want to accomplish? What do you want to be most proud of at the end of the project?

I think often times in school teachers sometimes think that it is enough to slap a group project in a unit and call it collaborative. Especially on projects that can be easily or a with a little extra effort done by a single person. I think sometimes you really need to think about these questions and think what is the purpose of this project, what do I want to get out of this and how do I make it as collaborative as possible. If the same results can be done by one person than what is the point of collaboration.

    1. Informal learning is a significant aspect of our learning experience. Formal education no longer comprises the majority of our learning.

I feel like this is so true especially with social media now. The amount of educational videos there are on tik tok and youtube is unbelievable. I think a lot of people learn better when it isn't just being lectured at them about it and social media has definitely stepped up in this regards. Being able to be introduced to a variety of different topics and then being able to do even more research really fast. Technology is a huge part in our everyday lives and how we do things, like how to fix a flat tire or an easy trick for math.

    1. The tracks that you leave online are sometimes referred to as digital footprint, and they include your profile information, things you post, what you share, who you follow, what you like, etc. A majority of employers now will do some level of web searching (either via search engines or social media sites) to check on the digital footprints of people they are considering hiring. This means that people will be searching for you, and what they find may have an impact on your professional life.

I remember in middle school every year for our digital literacy class we had to do a lesson about our digital footprint. And it really got instilled in us that you need to be careful what you put online because it will never go away. I remember we would be told stories of people losing their job because of something they posted about years before and even if they didn't use that platform anymore they got fired because their company didn't want to be associated with someone like that. I think this idea should be instilled into anyone who uses the internet because it is really helpful.

    2. but they must also look forward to technologies that do not currently exist and strategically anticipate how their teaching will evolve throughout their careers in response to new shifts in technology capabilities and availabilities.

I remember when my school had put in those smart board and how the teachers had to learn how to use them. Once they realized how excited we were to see the new boards they tried to learn as quickly as possible so they could have the students interact with the board as well. I think new technology in schools are huge shifts for both students and teachers in order to learn how to use them and how to use them in teaching.

    3. Unwillingness to connect with others and to engage in the lifelong learning process leads to stagnation in your practice and will prevent you from being the best possible teacher for the children you serve.

I think this is something that a lot of my teachers aren't willing to understand. The best teachers I've had understood that sometimes you have to learn about new techniques to use on students, especially when every class is different. I think one of the best ways to learn is from your students, like when a teacher has been teaching a subject a certain way and none of the students are understanding it, and instead of thinking what about this isn't working and trying to learn another more effective way to teach it, they just let the students struggle on their own. The teachers that can actively listen to their students and learn from them are the ones that students truly feel connected to.
