“Design justice is a framework for analysis of how design distributes benefits and burdens between various groups of people. Design justice focuses explicitly on the ways that design reproduces and/or challenges the matrix of domination (white supremacy, heteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, settler colonialism, and other forms of structural inequality).”
Although I haven't heard this term, I believed in this idea wholeheartedly. It's hard to truly understand someone's perspective and no one understands a perspective than someone living it. It is important to receive feedback from all different types of people to create the best product possible.

Systems have power to “bestow humanity on marginalized others”
Data systems can both help and hurt marginalized groups depending on both intentional and unintentional design choices. Engineers have to be careful about their choices so it doesn't hurt marginalized groups.

Does the fact that it is a bot change how you feel about its actions?
Yes, it does change the way I feel about its actions. I'm more forgiving if not indifferent toward bot actions as bots don't have the capacity for empathy. However, my leniency could be problematic when nefarious bots spread misinformation or manipulative content.

In this example, some clever protesters have made a donkey perform the act of protest: walking through the streets displaying a political message. But, since the donkey does not understand the act of protest it is performing, it can’t be rightly punished for protesting. The protesters have managed to separate the intention of protest (the political message inscribed on the donkey) and the act of protest (the donkey wandering through the streets). This allows the protesters to remain anonymous and the donkey unaware of it’s political mission.
This analogy is interesting because it showcases the separation of intention and action. It's something that I hadn't really considered as something that could be separate; there's the saying, "Actions speak louder than words." But, neither the bot nor the donkey can or should be held accountable for the actions in these scenarios.

There are two varieties of compilers: standard compiler: takes a whole computer program and turn it all into binary so it can be run later interpreter: turns the computer language code into binary as it is running the program
I don't have any knowledge surrounding programming but I wonder whether compilers or interpreters would run code faster. I would assume compilers would but perchance it's negligible.

Virtue is a group effort. Individuals can’t be virtuous on their own because “the earth is slippery, slick” (meaning it is easy for an individual to fall into bad actions, they need support and moderation)
Humans can often be a product of their environments and it requires a large group of people to influence an environment. Also, humans are naturally social animals and most require connections to feel and remained fulfilled in life. Creating a supportive system of people around you will allow you to live life virtuously if you so choose.
