Police have said it's unclear what Taylor's involvement was or how she died.
They found no drugs and found her unarmed, how would that translate to "unclear"

Officials say they knocked on the door before forcing their way inside.
Again, it was a no knock warrant.
Sgt. Jon Mattingly was hit by a gunshot and returned fire. Mattingly is expected to survive.
This has been common. A lot of concern for the officer right off the bat. Breonna is almost always an after thought.
Early Friday morning, three officers were sent to the scene to serve a search warrant at that location. Police said they knocked on the door several times, announcing their presence.
Another lie about this.
Coroner identifies woman shot and killed in officer-involved shooting
Her name is still left out of the headline, however, it does have an endearing picture of her, which has been uncommon.
The department is still working to determine whether or not the woman was armed,
This makes no sense. It would be easy to tell if she was armed. Leaving it up in the air clearly shows bad faith from the police officers who were likely the source.
The officers "knocked on the door several times and announced their presence as police who were there with a search warrant,"
I have seen this multiple times. Later it came out that they had a no knock warrant. So in reality, they did not knock they could just barge in.
Public Integrity Unit will still conduct
The words still conduct imply that they might not have needed to and they were doing an extra service by doing so. In reality, the conduct of these officers would be deemed inappropriate by about half the country or more. This shows annother bias toward police
The officer, Sgt. John Mattingly, is expected to make a full recovery.
This story would eventually develop to be way more about Breonna than the officer, but early on most articles are concerned with the officer
suspect dead
Breonna listed as a suspect
officer was shot
All articles so far note the officer before Breonna
LMPD officer shot, woman found dead following narcotics investigation
Headline notes officer before Breonna. Does not say her name, or profession in it. Also notes narcotics investigation, which paints Breonna in a negative light immediately.
Cosgrove was previously sued for excessive force by a man he shot in 2006
This is a red flag to me, and this article places it near the end. It also notes a judge sided with him, which the language implies he was correct.
No body camera footage is available from the incident, as the officers in the Criminal Interdiction Division conducting Friday's search warrant do not wear cameras, Conrad said.
No reason given for no cameras. Also interesting there would be no cameras
Kenneth Walker, 27, has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer, according to LMPD.
The use of the mugshot instead of focusing on Breonna is clearly an attempt to brush over the part where they shot and killed Breonna
Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly
The officer is named, but Breonna, who was killed, is not named in the next paragraph until the very end.
suspects
Interesting suspect is plural here. Maybe misinformation, but only Breonna's boyfriend fired any shots. Painting them as suspects makes this very biased in the favor of the police officers.
a woman
Breonna is nameless.
A Louisville Metro Police sergeant was shot and wounded
This one again leads in with the police officer being shot.
She was called home to be with the Lord
Interesting metaphor. It is a nice way to put it, but people were outraged at the way she died, it is interesting to see that left out
Taylor’s family claim officers were looking for someone who didn’t live at the home or had any connection to the victim when this incident occurred.
The use of the word "claim" is interesting to me. In my opinion, this verbage makes it seem like it may or may not be true. This may have been the case at the time, but the verbage shows a bias in my opinion. The police never make any "claims" they simply did what they did, which they cannot even prove since no body cams were used.
After repeatedly knocking and announcing their presence detectives utilized a ram to enter the apartment.
This is the second time they say they knocked, implying they had reason to enter, which was a hot topic on the case for awhile. This is a very important statement in context.
Breonna Taylor
Her name is finally mentioned here, and it is basically in passing, Moreover, they have a nice picture of the police posted just below this.
A detective was injured and one woman was killed in the shooting.
They leave out Breonna Taylor's name in this statement near the beginning, and mention the detective first. Again, this article seems to have a clear bias toward the police in this situation.
Man charged with attempted murder after detective injured trying to execute search warrant, one woman killed
I find it really weird they used the word "man." The big thing about this story is that it was an officer, so why just use man? My guess would be they do not believe the police are to blame, so they do not want to spotlight them. In the context of the BLM movement, this is a large detail to leave out.
He said last week that he believed the involvement of politics in athletics has hurt games and that he agrees with those who have decided to stop watching sports.
This is giving a specific political context. People who take this point of view have been largley republican, as they usually refer to the Black Lives Matter movement as political, and they say they want it out of sports. This shows another bias in which the author does not think Brett Favre should even have a say in this discussion. If Brett Favre sees Black Lives Matter as a political movement that does not even have a right to be involved in sports, then why would he have any authority on what the jury has to say in this case?

This is an example of the understanding is seeing type of metaphor. He finds it hard to believe. This metaphor implies Brett Favre has not yet come to the same understanding as the jury. This also sort of implies an implicit bias toward the decision in my opinion. Whoever wrote this likely thinks the jury was right, and that is why they would use this metaphor.
"These two losses are on me and I take full accountability for it," said Garrett, who received the loss in the suspended game that was completed Wednesday. "This (stuff) ain’t going to happen no more because this isn’t me. It stinks right now.
It shows a lot of accountability for Amir Garrett here if yoiu look at the context. The game that was paused Tuesday night actually had the winning run scored Tuesday night right before the pause. It was poring down rain and the Reds asked for a delay but the umpires would not grant it. Amir Garrett walked 2 batters, one of which eventually scored, but really no one could throw the ball with any control.
Cincinnati Reds manager David Bell showed faith in struggling closer Amir Garrett by bringing him out of the bullpen with a three-run lead in the ninth inning.
This shows the metaphor in this article. It is using the life is a gambling game metaphor. This article describes how the Reds manager gambles using his closer even though he has not been pitching well lately.
1,227 U.S. adults (margin of error of 3.4 percentage points) and 1,082 registered voters
If they were not registered voters, then why? almost 12% of the poll is people who were not registered to vote. How would the poll change without them?
Independents also largely disapproved of lawmakers from both parties, with 56 percent disapproving of Democrats in Congress and 63 percent disapproving of Republicans.
This shows me that there are not a ton of independents that are swaying the poll. They disapprove of both at a relatively high rate, but Democrats still have a 41 pct job approval
Among Democrats, Biden’s approval rating was 87 percent. But only 11 percent of Republicans and43 percent of independents said they approved of the president.
I would be interested to see the distribution of those polled in this particular poll. Only 1227 participants is not a lot.
Another 42 percent of Americans disapprove of what Biden has done so far as president, including 81 percent of Republicans and 43 percent of independents.
I would also be interested to see what the distribuion on the polling here is.
"I don't know. I'm hiding right now,"
This gives us a lot of sympathy for the victims. The word choice in this article has been what I would expect, but still well done. It is a very emotional article for obvious reasons.
"While anti-Asian violence is woven throughout our nation's history, the Trump administration's relentless scapegoating of Asians for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has increased"
Again, this has a very clear political bias. However, this is also very true so it is hard to ignore. However, I would like to see statistics on the matter, as I personally have not seen statistics on violence against Asian Americans since COVID began. I do not doubt it, but it seems like it should be backed up.
"Based on today's press conference, I would not have confidence in the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office to conduct a fair investigation that respected the Asian victims."
This is really pushing the narrative that we cannot trust police. In realitty, that comment really does not show whether or not they will conduct a fair investigation.
inappropriate, insensitive, and anti-Asian
Saying these words associates his comments with being racist before we even read the comments
Tuesday's violence has amplified fears in the Asian American community, which is already experiencing a spike in attacks and harassment since the coronavirus pandemic began.
In my opinion, this is likely a sibtle dig at Donald Trump and his handling of the coronavirus, calling it the China Virus
sexual addiction
Here they continue to paint a specific picture of the killer. Again, he is obviously not a good person, but there may be more to his story.
"temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate."
This quote is interesting. It really paints the killer as a demon, which he is not a good guy obviously. However, we talked about how media likes to make things black and white when it comes to good and evil.
