      This still remains one of my largest critiques for the American education system. We are consistently sold this fallacy that if you work really hard and pull yourself up by your bootstraps you can make it. What about the thousands of students without access to tutors? What about the 16 million students that only receive a reliable meal at school? What of the thousands of schools that are severely underfunded simply because of the neighborhood it's located in? Until we can create a more equitable space for learning, both inside and outside of the classroom, we will continue to run into students leaving these institutions with little to no preparedness for what comes after
