    1. ADOS leadership is focused on widening divisions between African American, African and Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-Latino communities

While the ADOS movement does have valid points about immigrants with anti black views and it is true that many black immigrants do have anti black American views, this movement is a cult, it’s unrealistic and frankly it seems like white nationalism in blackface.

    1. have met a couple of parents around my high functioning autism son's age and they are just like the parents you are describing. And they all think I am crazy and overly strict. One I was friendly with had invited my son to her son's bday party last year. That day and the day before my son was being a real pain in the ass, rude, wouldn't do his chores, inappropriate behavior, etc. The last straw was when I told him to do something and he lied about doing it. I was just was done and he was grounded for the rest of the weekend, which meant he was also grounded from the bday party. I called and apologized (and took the gift over later that day) and she actually ended our friendship over my horrible, mean parenting...Yes, my son is autistic. Yes, we have invested so much time and money (especially as insurance doesn't cover autism). Yet he needs to be able to handle the neuro typical world. I refuse to allow him to use his autism as a crutch or as an excuse. His professors, his boss, his girlfriend, etc, might not care that he has disabilities and he is going to have to figure out how to deal with that. It is a scary proposition but I also cannot shelter him his whole life. What is going to happen when we pass on and he is alone? Also, I do not have the time or the energy to be that crazy!!!!

Her son will do very well, despite his ailment.

I wonder if this is a commonality with elderly in nursing homes? I believe that some in nursing homes were not simply thrown away by their children. Some of these people were horrible parents who's children escaped as soon as they could and never looked back.
