That day and the day before my son was being a real pain in the ass, rude, wouldn't do his chores, inappropriate behavior, etc. The last straw was when I told him to do something and he lied about doing it. I was just was done and he was grounded for the rest of the weekend, which meant he was also grounded from the bday party. Yes, we have invested so much time and money (especially as insurance doesn't cover autism). Yet he needs to be able to handle the neuro typical world. I refuse to allow him to use his autism as a crutch or as an excuse. His professors, his boss, his girlfriend, etc, might not care that he has disabilities and he is going to have to figure out how to deal with that.
