    1. 'We have been forced to leave or die, but no one cares anymore.'

This is very sad and heart breaking.

    2. Saleh said the first thing he noticed was white foam coming from their mouths. He rushed back out to what he called the “medical point,” where other medics issued him “some spray and first aid” before returning to the problem place, some 30 minutes after the apparent chemical onslaught. The rescue volunteers did not have gas masks in their limited supply cache.

This is a very sad an upsetting event. The things that these people saw are absolutely horrifying.

    1. Bergin added that Perez left the Army in 2004 with a general discharge after he was caught smoking marijuana on base.

Don't smoke marijuana on base, it is that simple. Follow the rules of the US military.

    2. The substance-abuse and mental-health counseling he desperately needs would not be readily available in Mexico, he said. He also predicts that drug cartels would recruit him because of his combat experience and murder him if he didn't cooperate.

Well, maybe he should have waited in line to LEGALLY enter this country instead of hopping the border and expecting a free ride. Because he served in this military I do not personally think that he should be deported. If he were to get involved in drugs and was to be charged with another drug related crime, deport him.

    1. "I want to make it real clear that I am no hero, my daughters are the heroes, and (so are) the victims and the survivors of this terrible atrocity."

I do not personally classify anybody in this case a 'hero'. Larry Nassar had stopped the actions that he is going to jail for years prior to the trial. The girls who are speaking are helping to prove that he is guilty, not stopping anything current. In a way they are bringing him to justice rather than preventing any further rapes. I do not agree with social media depicting Margraves as a hero. He tried to attack Larry, and putting the image that it is okay to attack somebody into the heads of the young adults and children that view

    2. You cannot behave like that," she said. "No one can behave like this. I want to make sure it's crystal clear."

Although some may say this father's actions were justifiable, they were not. As the judge said, you cannot attack somebody, it is as simple as that. Larry Nassar will get his punishment, which is a life in prison.

    1. "It's difficult to reconcile that and just say we'll put all that aside. You know, he can make fun of handicapped people, he can, you know, he can say a lot of, you know, nasty things, ugly things, whether it's about women or whomever," he said.

Over and over again people claim Trump is so horrible, but it is all based upon what the media puts out. Nobody ever provides solid proof regarding their arguments.

    2. Donald Trump's September tweet in which he rescinded Warriors' captain Stephen Curry's White House invitation after Curry publicly said he didn't want to take part in the visit.

Trump had every right to revoke the invitation he sent out to the Golden State Warriors after their team captain disrespected him multiple times publicly.

    1. Last week we reported the death of Danny Contreras, another Las Vegas local who had been contradicting the official narrative that only one shooter fired on the Route 91 Harvest festival crowd. Mr. Contreras tweeted the day after the attacks saying he was “lucky to be alive” after he was “chased by two gunmen”.

This article seems to be uncovering a lot of lost, scary truths. Is the government trolling us?

    2. In the face of all evidence, and countless survivor testimonies, mainstream media is perpetuating a major cover up by claiming there was only one shooter.

What is the government hiding? Was there really only one shooter?

    1. Douglas Fields, a neuroscientist who studies the rage circuit in brain systems, said horribly violent events, such as mass shootings and terrorism, rarely involve actual brain abnormalities but can be triggered by psychiatric problems.

People with mental and psychiatric problems should be helped, not shut out like many of them are. These horrible shootings could potentially be prevented.

    2. One such case involved the University of Texas shooter Charles Whitman, who fatally shot 13 people in 1966 from a clock tower on the Austin campus. Whitman was found to have a pecan-sized tumor in his brain, though the suggestion that it caused his rampage is still debated decades later.

No matter the tumor, a person still has some control over what they do. This is pure evil.

    1. Michaella Flores was in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when a gunman opened fire on the crowd, killing 58 and wounding hundreds. She returned to Santa Rosa unharmed but days later, the fires destroyed home.

This is incredibly sad and heartbreaking. My prayers go out to her as she battles this horrible fate.

    1. The death resulted in the chapter’s closing and a temporary hiatus on all Greek life activities at L.S.U. On Oct. 4, fraternities and sororities were permitted to resume activities but with new limits.

Hopefully these new limits will prevent anything bad from happening again on this campus. Also, I hope other colleges learn from this one's mistake.

    2. One member told the police that Mr. Gruver kept messing up the Greek alphabet and that Mr. Naquin, 19, forced him to drink each time he made a mistake. Mr. Naquin was behaving so aggressively that another member told him to “cut it out,” the warrant said.

This is incredibly inappropriate. Somebody should have done more than just told him to "cut it out"

    1. On Monday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters "there's a time and place for a political debate, but now is the time to unite as a country".

I agree with this. Now, when tensions are highest, is not the time to be dealing with the political aspects of this situation.

    2. Some of the laws have run up against another barrier, however - the US judicial system. In recent years the Supreme Court has twice ruled that the right to own personal weapons such as handguns is enshrined in the constitution.

I believe that it is in fact enshrined in the us constitution that US citizens should be allowed to own firearms.

    1. Vice President Mike Pence offered prayers and words of comfort for Las Vegas on Saturday, as he and his wife participated in a citywide "unity prayer walk" in honor of the shooting victims.

Our higher ups are contributing to sympathy efforts for this horrible attack.

    2. But tracer rounds also could have allowed police to see Paddock's location more quickly, CNN law enforcement analyst James Gagliano said.

The tracer rounds could have made it easier for the gunman to see, but also easier for the police to locate him.

    1. The coach immediately made the duo take off their uniforms and leave the field, the boys said.

In my opinion, the coach was right in doing this. Allowing them to stay would cause controversy within the school.

    2. Colin Kaepernick, a former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers -- currently a free agent and without a team -- first started kneeling during the national anthem before games during the 2016 season to bring attention to issues of racial inequality and injustice.

Kneeling during the national anthem to protest injustice and inequality for black people is not a way to fix the racism in this country.

    1. The President's Twitter posts continued Sunday morning, saying if fans stayed away from the games because of the players' protests, "you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!"

Trump makes a valid point, but the way in which it is projected (via twitter) may not be the best way to relay his message upon the country, especially because twitter is frowned upon by so many.

    1. “Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable. Bad ratings!” Trump tweeted Sunday.

Kneeling is incredibly disrespectful and takes it to a new level.

    2. It began with the president calling for NFL protesters to be fired and continued Saturday when he rescinded a White House invitation for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors over star Stephen Curry’s criticism.

I do not believe that NFL protesters should be fired, but I do believe that they should be punished for disrespecting and embarrassing themselves and their teams.

    1. But China fears the collapse of Kim Jong-Un's regime more than his nuclear weapons, both because it might result in large-scale refugee flows into China and because Korean unification might put US troops on China's border.

China is now being dragged in to this mess. The way this issue is travelling, world war III is soon to come.

    2. For now, they are only hurling abuse and threats at each other, but there is no sign of either de-escalating their confrontation over Pyongyang's nuclear weapons programme.

We continue to go back and forth with North Korea to no end. When will it stop?

    1. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the launch was "another reckless breach of UN resolutions" and a "major threat" to international peace and security "which demands a global response."

NATO needs to discuss with North Korea and try to find a peaceful solution.

    2. Friday's missile flew the furthest of any North Korean intermediate-range missiles, though previous launches have used lofted trajectories, where missiles fly much higher over a shorter distance. By comparison, an intercontinental ballistic missile launched in July flew 3,700 kilometers (2,300 miles) high and traveled a distance of 1,000 kilometers (621 miles).

North Korea's missiles are getting stronger and stronger. We need to act now.

    1. Officially dubbed the “California Values Act,” the legislation initially would have prohibited state and local law enforcement agencies from using any resources to hold, question or share information about people with federal immigration agents, unless they had violent or serious criminal convictions.

I agree and support this decision.

    2. After passionate debate in both houses of the Legislature, staunch opposition from Republican sheriffs and threats from Trump administration officials against sanctuary cities, Senate Bill 54 was approved Saturday with a 27-11 vote along party lines.

Sanctuary cities are unnecessary. An illegal immigrant should not be supported.

    1. Bridenstine is a veteran U.S. Navy fighter pilot and former executive director of the Tulsa Air & Space Museum. He has no deeper science education or experience to bring to NASA’s top job.

Both of the nominees have little scientific background in these fields, but sometimes that is good. They do not have a bias against their jobs that they are nominated for and have an excellent opportunity to learn and do extensive research in their new fields.

    2. Winberg has deep ties to the coal and gas industries, as well as a key role in a controversial “clean coal” technology project.

Winberg may not have background in science, but he has years of work in gas industries and most likely knows and understands the rights and wrongs well enough to be head of the Office of Fossil energy.

    1. Mexico's capital, hundreds of miles away, was not spared the quake's tremors. Parts of the city lost power, Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera said in an interview on Foro TV.

An extremely large part of Mexico was effected by the earthquake. The damage is widespread and they need as much help as they can get.
