    1. n ways that are strikingly similar to real-world physical experiences,"

I think VR will have experience that are so real that people will lose interest in actually doing the experience. This will also take away the social aspect of the experience.

    2. with younger children should be especially cautious with virtual reality, even if they purchased the game for teens or young adults.

I think the younger generation of kids are becoming less sociable due to the amount of technology they have access to. I think VR should be used for more educational purposes instead of entertainment for kids.

    3. increasingly loud audio may start to sound normal but can actually be damaging your hearing,"

This statement has been something I have heard for years regarding music and television. If i was being fully emerged into VR, I think the volume being loud helps with making it seem real.

    4. How long is too long to use virtual reality in one sitting? Manufacturers like Oculus suggest a "10 to 15 minute break every 30 minutes

I do not think anyone would listen to this rule. I think VR could be a good experience for children, but seeing the amount they use their electronics now, I think eye sight and social skills would become a bigger problem.

    5. we may be projecting onto the eyes something that looks far away, but in reality, it's only a few centimeters from the eye,"

There have been so many studies focusing on how close we hold our phones and tvs to our eyes. I think this is a perfect example of how it can affect our eyes in the long term.

    6. virtual reality complain of eye strain, headaches and, in some cases, nausea.

This seems to be a common problem people are talking about. I personally get motion sickness so I would not like to experience that with virtual reality.

    7. One of the major health concerns about virtual reality involves the eye.

This is a major concern I have with VR. There have always been studies based on how close we hold our phones or how close we sit to the TV saying how it will affect out eye site in the future. So with VR, is it going to have long term affects on people.

    1. “could allow people with severe mobility challenges, even those who are completely paralysed, the opportunity to ‘move freely’ in both the real and virtual worlds”.

I think this is the best way of using VR that I have heard so far. This can provide opportunities for people with mobility challenges that they would have never had before.

    2. s is so often the case with new technology, there are many unknowns

I do not think VR is developed enough to be used seriously yet. I think we need more advances before using.

    3. Teledildonic sex (remote sexual activity) is already bedding in,

This statement does not surprise me too much. It is crazy that this advanced of technology is being used on something like that.

    4. They found that around half the neurons that fire in a real-world environment simply shut down when in VR.

Could this have long term affects? Could it shut down permanently?

    5. have been conducting experiments to explore the effects of VR on the brains of rats.

I think this could be a problem for some people who are against products being tested on animals.

    6. Virtual-reality sickness (also known as cybersickness) is a side-effect experienced by some when using VR. Symptoms are similar to those of motion sickness

I find it interesting that people can get motion sickness from using the VR goggles. If this is happening to people using VR, I think they need to develop a way of preventing this before it gains popularity.

    7. 2016 was dubbed ‘the year of VR’, and with good reason.

I though this was interesting because I thought it was more recent that VR was being developed. I do not think I knew what virtual reality was in 2016, but in both my english classes this academic year has had a focus on it. I feel as though it has become more popular in recent years.

    1. two million participants in virtual school trips to learn about buildings and places around the world.

I think this is a great way of teaching. I know not every school has the funding to take elaborate school trip o having this as a option will allow teachers to expand their curriculum. It is also easier to conduct school trips from the comfort of your classroom.
