    1. We hope you could then bring those concerns into how you design and implement automated systems for social media sites.

In my intended career to design for humans, all of these ethic frameworks that I've learned would be really handy to use to implement into my work. Not only ethic frameworks but everything that comes into being a user of a social media and how it operates.

After this course, seeing how are data is being used definitely changed my perspective on social media. I had prior knowledge that our personal are being tracked to advertise items were interested in but seeing that there are so many other things that are getting collected seems unreal to me, but again, I shouldn't have expected much with social media handling my private information.

When people have nothing else to do, they look for excitement by publicly humiliating strangers online. It gets to the point where a user forgets the purpose of the cancellation that it's just constant harassment.

I've seen many counts of students making careless mistakes that jeopardizes their entire future by getting kicked out of college so this isn't surprising to hear. Sometimes the internet takes the person accountable a little too extreme and this is for those situations that should not have unfolded the wrong way.

I've seen a video on how facebook moderators gets little to no support when they're facing such explicit posts everyday awhile ago which I had no idea of. No one really talks about this although these are real people dealing with trauma in their work space just to protect facebook users.

    1. “Tendency to continue to surf or scroll through bad news, even though that news is saddening, disheartening, or depressing. Many people are finding themselves reading continuously bad news about COVID-19 without the ability to stop or step back.”

I had no idea that what I do has a term to it but I do tend to find myself king of traumatizing myself when I get reeled in to these kind of things. However, other times, when I scroll into bad news off guard, I then try to forget it but the thought will still linger in my head.

    1. So, what does social media do to the mental health of teenage girls, and to all it’s other users?

Social media can be harmful to a teenaged girl self esteem and it can be a long term effect. With all the older girls they see on there gives them an unrealistic beauty standard that they think they have to look like in order to be liked. Because of that, they'll depend their mood on the amount of likes and comments they'll have.

This is the main purpose of social media, to talk about your status. Social status are important for others and talking about any achievements or updates helps them achieve that.

    2. In 1997, the internet service provider AOL introduced a chat system called AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) that anyone could join and maintain a list of friends.

Instant Messenger is truly a game changer for communicating with a friend or anyone. To message a friend back then, you would need to either mail them, call them, or meet up in person but they aren't always convenient depending on availability. Now you can check whether a person is online or not and they'll instantly receive a message.

When it comes to a controversy with a person, especially race related, I see that a lot of people on the internet would go out of their way to find every possible information that they could get a hold with so that they could use it against them. Often it would go to a far extent by invading privacy and having family involved but compared to what deed that has been done by finding which airline she took and showing up at her location to physically talk to her father is just on another level and shows how scary social media can be.

    1. “A person is a person through other people.”

"Humanity towards other," one of the multiple definitions of Ubuntu. Acknowledging other humans and how one interacts with them can show what qualities they possess. Having sympathy for another's uniqueness and difference and the willingness to do good can also promote cohesiveness and an economic growth by influencing a majority to take and give the same genuine treatment they've received from others. We tend to view ourselves as isolated, independent beings but however, having similar subconscious and constantly being surrounded, we are all connected and what we do influences society. When good is being done, an impact have been made and it benefits all of humanity.
