    1. Another implication based on Vygotskian views of learning is recognizing that there are individual differences as well as cross-cultural differences in learning and development

This is such an important aspect of education and learning that we need to keep in mind, especially as educators. Recognizing that not everyone has the same experiences and the same cultural backgrounds is an important part of making education equitable. Not everyone understands things the same way, or has seen things we have seen, so making everyone feel included in the learning process and acknowledging differences is very important.

    1. a shared goal, close listening, complete concentration, the ability to be in control (related to what I call autonomy), blended egos, equal participation, familiarity, communication, effort to move ideas forward (often through improvisation, building on previous ideas), and risk that comes from the potential for failure.

I really like how these 10 elements are highlighted for group work. I agree that to effectively carry out a plan or project it's essential to have autonomy but also be able to allow other to participate equally and contribute. I also agree that Online collaboration was in great part a challenge when it came to group work and flow. The disconnectedness and independence that came with online work definitely impacted the way some people feel about group collaboration, with some people doing more work than others or the lack of equal contribution.

    1. Assistive technologies that use AI can also “significantly enhance student learning compared with other learning technologies or classroom instruction” (Holstein et al., 2018, p. 155), making them effective at improving student achievement. There are many different types of AI-based assistive technology, including applications (apps), extensions, and web-based programs; this allows students and teachers to choose the ones with which they prefer to work.

This is where I agree with AI being incredibly helpful and important in our lives. The use of assistive technology tools to enhance learning and to make it easier to accommodate students who may have disabilities or need a bit of extra help to succeed academically. For example, I use Grammarly to check my spelling when I have to write essays and such. English is not my first language so from time to time I can get my grammar mixed up it's helpful to have tools like this to make suggestions and make it easier for us to improve.

    1. Be creative and social - Break away from the traditional mold of educational multimedia (aka lecture videos, documentaries, infographics full of far too much information).

This is extremely important! I think documentaries and some sort of visual media can be helpful in some cases to get the message through, but there are many different ways to easily learn about a topic without long boring media. Tools like simulators and many more are examples of useful media.

    2. Designing a video can be time consuming, and sometimes frustrating, but with the right tools and design skills, anyone can make captivating videos.

I totally agree that videos are time-consuming and can be tedious to work on and edit. I believe that videos are so helpful when it comes to engaging students because they make use of multiple media at the same time (audio, images, text). Videos don't have to be professionally crafted, as long as there is some sort of engaging visuals that get the message through. they can easily be captivating.

    1. Teams need to learn how to work together and talk to one another. This is the hardest part. It involves real listening.

I do believe working together is the most challenging part of collaborating. A lot of the time some individuals don't want to put any effort into sharing ideas, or maybe are shy to do so. Others like to "take over" and control everything and do things their way, such as perfectionists. If students learn that everyone is as equally as important as the other person, they will value more each others ideas and ways of thinking.

    1. Personal knowledge is comprised of a network, which feeds into organizations and institutions, which in turn feed back into the network, and then continue to provide learning to individual.

Individuals' opinions and ideas matter. When organizations allow people to express themselves and share knowledge from past/different experiences, it benefits everyone around them. It's like a cycle of you reap what you sow. Share and receive.

    1. Today, if you went into a job interview for a teaching position and said that you have no interest in using technology in your teaching or learning about how new technologies should be used to improve teaching and learning, it is highly unlikely that a hiring committee would look favorably upon this stance.

As sad or tragic as this might sound since it's inconvenient for "old school" teachers, it's necessary to know how to use technology nowadays. If teachers don't keep up and don't become innovative with their teaching methods, students who are becoming more and more savvy with tech, will lack motivation. Nowadays a lot of students don't like taking notes with pen and paper, they use google docs, or other apps to keep their notes. If teachers don't like or don't know how to be flexible with students' preferences it can become an impediment to the learning process.

    1. Educators and researchers began examining how incorporating game elements (i.e., gamification) into educational situations could impact learning

I love how research and education evolved together when technology was changing! In my case, I love learning through interactive "games" or apps like Kahoot to review for exams.

    2. The results of the study concluded that “learner anxiety toward technology is one of the biggest influencers in a learner’s satisfaction”

The results of this study explain what I think everyone else already knows about technology. People are scared of "new tech" because they don't understand it and can easily become frustrated. This reiterates the importance of having the proper support tools and guidance from teachers (in schools for example) when it comes to using new platforms or making new updates. It's essential to follow up with students and make sure they know or are actually understanding how to work around the new technology.
