    1. I wonder if we can start creating synthetic or even natural compounds that could alter someone’s pleasure reaction either to healthy or unhealthy foods—if we can use this almost as a supplement to change how people like food or not.

      This idea actually reminds me of a recent water bottle invention that was all over Tiktok. Basically you could take a flavor smelling pod and insert it at the top of the water bottle and every time an individual would take a drink their perception of flavor was enhanced. So, although they were drinking plain water, the smell of the flavor pod tricked their brain into thinking they were drinking something completely different.

    2. They had cholesterol, the body, socioeconomic backgrounds.

      I think it is great that they decided to take a holistic approach when analyzing the relationship between genes and nutrition. By not only acknowledging traits such as cholesterol and the body but also their socioeconomic status, they are able to account for a broader range of causes. It is known that individuals from lower socioeconomic statues have a higher risk concerning health issues that can be attributed to their lack of accessible and affordable healthy food options.
