      Documentation serves a purpose in also inspiring other educators around the world. It's important to exchange ideas and learn other perspectives as it provides a new insight on how others view education.

    1. Systematic documentation allows each teacher to become a producer of research—that is, someone who generates new ideas about curriculum and learning, rather than being merely a consumer of certainty and tradition.

      This is really important to keep in mind!

    2. The teacher can help the children uncover their own insights or questions, perhaps expressed by one child in a tentative or partial way—not fully clear to themselves or the group as a whole.

      I feel like this is important especially for infant and toddlers. Sportscasting is something we do often in our classroom!

      I love this because in our classroom, our children are very focused in nature that involves bugs, rocks, herb gardens, and sticks! We always find ways to extend their learning and learn more about their other curiosities.

      "Importance of slowing down" caught my attention as it is something I remind myself when I am in the classroom. I often get caught up with the day to day tasks and forget to just stop what I do and refocus myself.

      I found this statement relevant to how we develop our curriculum with our toddlers. One week we could be focused on birds and another week we can be focused on bugs. We try to ask broad questions about how children's wonderings about nature and how we relate to them as a child to see what kind of perspectives they would see too. We definitely learn side by side with them.

      It's important for parents to understand and learn what the children are doing at school and how they are experiencing it. That way the parents can offer similar experiences at home for the children to dive deeper into than at school! Relating home and school is a huge part in our classroom that we live by as we want to explore the relations with one another.
