    1. However, theseconcentrations may have implications for lung disease devel-opment in children.

to what extent is the poverty cycle considered? many minority families need to stay in the same area, so although it may be a low level, it is a low level for an extended period of time. Dr. Shakya brought up if that means we should aim towards 0 ppbv, which seems not possible as, for the time being, we need cars/transportation, but we agreed there should be more inference on long term effects.

    2. personal exposures to air pollutants are the aggregate oflevels experienced in the microenvironments where people spendtheir time (residence, school, work places, in transit, indoors, outdoors, etc.

should they measure what car students' parents have, if they take the bus, or some other manner that could effect their exposure? Additionally, looking at factors like air conditioning, where windows face, and the amount of outdoor time during schools could also effect exposure. Those students in street facing classrooms could be exposed to more NOx than those in non-road facing classrooms.

    3. Specifically, the NO2measurements only provide average concentrations for a singleone week campaign

this is an issue because there will be fluctuations based on rush time periods, as well as proximity to children (cars at pick up/drop off). Florida also has a very unique weather pattern, and taking only one week out of an entire year is not enough data to get a good read on actual exposure. This study could differ daily, even, because of those rush periods. This was taken march 23-march 30th 2008

    4. These can becharacterized by age, race/ethnicity, economic status, lifestyle, gender, community/family, and genetic factors. Here, the focus is onschool children.

it would be interesting to explore how these demographics are effected from the pollution in Philadelphia versus near Villanova where the demographics are starkly different.

    5. elementary schools

although villanova is not an elementary school, it may be interesting to investigate if there is a difference in NO2 levels here versus farther from campus/philadelphia.
