      Great piece of advice, but often forgotten. However, in some cases I would be able to say that it might be possible for someone really advanced in particular topic it could be hard to put themselves in the place of the target audience.

    1. Be cautious when using figures, charts and tables, making sure they visually represent quantities with accuracy and honesty.

      Many people are more of visual learners, so including charts or tables that are not truly accurate is the fastest way to create false beliefs and biased opinions.

    1. Basically, you should adhere to the same polite standards of behavior online that you follow in real life.

      It seems like people tend to forget that it is important to present yourself in a good way on the internet.

    1. If your document has more than two figures and tables, create a separate list of figures.

      This is a really great addition that is often forgotten, or jus simply done wrong. I cannot count how many times I have been looking for a table or illustration that has not been properly listed.

    2. The look and feel of Wikipedia is now familiar to people around the world, and it is used as a source in some writing contexts, for good or for ill, precisely because its content has predictable regularity and its easy-to-navigate entries are popular with readers.

      It is important to notice how the use of a popular, familiar style of formatting can be used into tricking people that the source is more reliable than it actually is.

    1. Email is instantaneous, but it does not guarantee an instantaneous response.

      It seems like a lot of people nowadays feel obligated to check their email multiple times a day. It is important to be a responsible correspondent, but it's also worth mentioning that different people work on different time schedules, and may not have as many opportunities to check their emails every day.

    1. could annoy users with more knowledge

      It could be frustrating to some users, which is understandable. Personally, I have been quite often annoyed with the way informations were presented to me. It is overwhelming when sometimes you are left with no choice, but to click through tutorials and unnecessary amount of informations on websites, or apps these days.

    1. Make no mistake, if you want to succeed in your career, you have to be a successful communicator – and a large part of that includes writing.

      Being a successful communicator seems to be a lot harder these days, a lot of people tend to twist even the most straight forward messages.
