apparently answered their questions in the right way
This statement bothers me because it implies that if you know how to play the game (as if teaching is a game), you will be rewarded and acknowledged. Otherwise, you may be an excellent teacher but no one other than your students will know (which is an award in itself, of course!). It strikes me that this one statement perfectly relates to the overall theme of Christensen's article: there's one right way of acceptable teaching and answering questions for awards, and if you haven't mastered these, you are at a disadvantage as far as the larger community is concerned. #teachingwritingonline
