Replace the fundamental core of a schooling experience: the relationships fostered and sustained between teachers and students
I think this is an important point. Continued support and development of relationships is so important in a child's education. In fact, establishing a community and culture of within a classroom is a main factor of effectiveness.
Building ELA classrooms around digital contexts does not override the purpose or value of literature in the lives of young people
I agree. I think it is important to connect students with how literacy is applied in these contexts. I also feel like it is important to connect families with these contexts and show them how they can support their child's literacy through technology.
Powerful literacy instruction should prepare students today to produce, communicate, interpret, and socialize with peers, adults, and the broader world they will enter when they gradu-ate.
I think this reiterates the point that I made above. I think powerful literacy instruction can strategically incorporate technology to support students in preparing to be successful in modern society.

I agree with this. Technology is the means in which students express themselves and it is our responsibility as educators to help them connect with the power and meaning of technology.
Where I have seen technology support writing workshop the most is with the use of Google Docs.
I found using Google Docs was a wonderful way for me to see students working in real time and to share feedback with them.

Helping to overcome some writers’ reluctance to physically write and rewrite, word processing has given writers the opportunity to efficiently make changes to their pieces
This reminds me of a student that I had last year. Putting pen to paper was always a trigger for him and would constantly shut down and refuse to work. By providing him with the opportunity to produce his work in word processing, he saw the value in how much easier it was to produce and change writing.
